AliExpress has become increasingly difficult to navigate over the past few years and luxury designers are clamping down hard on fake goods. Gone are the days where you could just type "Kate Spade Bag" or "KS Bag" into the search bar. Here are some tips and tricks on how to find a dupe of your favourite accessory.
Note that I won't be including any cosmetic products in the post as I'm quite against fake cosmetics. After all, you never know what they put into fake makeup.
1. Use the Minus function
For this bag, I used "mickey ears bag" as my keywords. However, I realised the results mostly displayed mickey backpacks so in order to filter through unwanted results I used the minus function: "mickey ears bag -backpack".

2. Search for unique features
Kate Spade is one of my favourite brands and I'm so glad that most of their bags have a defining feature which makes it easy to search for on Ali. For example, a few years ago Kate Spade released this Spring Forward Flowerpot bag and I was really disappointed when I couldn't get hold of the item but thank God for AliExpress, I managed to find a similar dupe. I used the keywords "flowerpot bag" to search for the following item. Given, it's not a one to one dupe but it's pretty decent considering the price.

Here are a few other replicas I have found using the same method above.
Kate Spade's Make Magic collection has to be one of their cutest collection and I have yet to find a replica for the rabbit in the hat bag but here's a dupe for the fluffy rabbit, using the keywords "rabbit ear bag". As for the rabbit Maise, I actually bought the bag so stay tuned for a review.

The first time I saw these I told myself I had to get them. Little did I know that they cost a whopping 500 pounds! At first I thought I could perhaps get them secondhand on eBay but after awhile I thought why not AliExpress. Sure enough, I found them using the keywords "butterfly heels"!

3. Try searching the name of the bag
This tactic works especially well for Fendi products. I found their signature bags by searching for 'peekaboo' and 'monster' bags. I was really surprised they had a dupe for Fendi's spring 2017 collection, it's one of the most recent bags I've seen on AliExpress.

4. The recommended list is your best friend
This is probably the best way of finding your desired bags. Many times you may not be able to find your desired bag via keywords but you might be able to find something similar or close. I was trying to find a specific Gucci bag (Sylvie) which was quite popular in 2016. However, I didn't quite know which keywords to use. I started off with general keywords such as '2016 famous designer bag' and clicked on bags which seemed to have a Gucci style. Finally, I stumbled upon the following bag which was pretty similar the Sylvie and that's when I scrolled down to the bottom of the page for the recommended bags and lo and behold, I found a dupe!

These are of course not the only ways of finding specific bags on AliExpress. In fact, I usually use a combination of these methods in order to find my perfect luxury dupe and I must say it can be quite time consuming. But the money saved is worthwhile in my opinion.
